Big debuts are normally do to huge dedicated fanbases so yes there really isn't anything that makes this more impressive. Her having 2 1 million+ debuts is quite impressive though.

curiously there are more +1M seller debuts (among females) in recent years than before around 1999 / 2000.

I mean sure we obviously want her to keep the record but it's much different than it was with Gaga where most stans were mainly mad that she'd break the record with the help of that 99c deal.

Do you know that "Oops" is a 9,3M seller in the US and a 20M seller album in the world meaning that is one of the highest selling and most popular albums of all time in music history?.....


I mean I'm happy for Taylor ... but I'm sure you also know "Red" probably won't reach the 5M mark in the US right? and lets don't talk outside the US
