You're still not stating why charter schools are a bad idea. You can argue that public education can be reformed all you want, but I still haven't had a single argument from you that refutes charter schools. All of your points simply support why charter schools would be good.
Private schools I'm not talking about, they can exist as they do now. Private schools are irrelevant to this argument.

Educational standards are much lower in charter schools and they should only admit students with unique personal circumstances that hinder their capability to perform at a basic level in a public school.

In my state, kids DREAM of getting into charter schools when they can't afford the private schools.
The educational standards are extremely high compared to public schools because guess what: If they do bad they're handed off to another company!

Most of these schools have wait lists because they're so well renowned, where did you get the idea that they have low standards???

Really? Here in NY Charter schools are not that great. The testing and performance scores are awful.

There's a renown charter school around the LA county area that is basically independent study. I've gotten my arts credits through there but their substitution for HS Chem and Mod Civ is a joke.

I see it all ....most don't even know what EBT is or what a WIC Voucher looks like....or What TANF is or ever had to go to a Food Bank or know the process of Section 8 housing....

But working at the store seeing a laidoff, disabled and/or looking for employment adults<<<<<........

A 'Brenda or Susan, or a Fred or Marc' buying groceries for their kids and/or family with EBT or a WIC Voucher....

It is heart breaking because I know they are not trying to free load and that they have paid their fair share of taxes....... so that they should get assistants in a time of need...

Most of them are looking for jobs going out there taking these minium wage jobs....I know I work with them....

One time a customer was taking sideways(maybe it was one of the ATRL members mom) about how certain people are on the government and what not my co worker who is Caucasian gladly stated not only was that not true..but that as a cashier she has seen more 'blue-collar' EBT or WIC users then the other "people" the customer was talking about......

Some on here are so quick to scream welfare this or that like girl shut up majority of those 47% are elderly and draw Social Security(fixed income) &/or are disabled....then the others are college students(yes college students who are applying for EBT because many have to work part-time(min.wage) and can only go to school half time because their parents(if your dependent) make too much(40k and above :rollseyes and can't qualify for more student grants & loans...)So their parents are struggling to put that child in college(keep in mind they have other expenses) so the parent cannot apply for EBT because they(parent) makes to much so the kid winds up applying so the family can purchase food.....

Hm, interesting. In Arizona the charter schools rank extremely high, far better than most public schools.

It depends on the company running the schools, in Arizona there is large competition between schools which provides great education in the charters. In the publics there is no competition and Arizona is like 47th in the country for public education.
