Sony is claiming Hotel Transylvania cost $85M but I know it cost $104M. Depending on its legs and international preformance, it should gross between $390M-$550M at the worldwide box office.
"It's a different sound. It's still kind of pop, but a couple songs have a little bit of a Spanish feel to it and a couple songs have a little Island feel. It's super relaxed and still very poppy." She added, "I was even playing some of the music for my friends who know me better than anybody and they said, 'This does not even sound like you. This is way different than anything we have heard.' That's what I'm kind of going for, something bigger and better." -- Selena Gomez

According to early estimates, Hotel Transylvania -- boasting a voice cast led by Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Selena Gomez -- grossed an estimated $11 million on Friday for a $38 million to $40 million weekend. The 3D toon earned an A- CinemaScore overall, and an A from females and kids under the age of 18.
PHOTOS: Fall Movie Preview By all accounts, Hotel Transylvania, costing $85 million to produce, should score the best September opening of all time, beating current record-holder Sweet Home Alabama ($35.6 million) and marking a key victory for Sony's animation division (it will be the unit's top debut).
I am disappointed that David Henrie is not going to be in the WOWP special.
He was really good in it. The ****er.
And it's not even like he had HUGEE careerdefining roles that might make this seem like a step back for him.
WTF without DAVID HOTTIE HENRIE????????? Noooooooooooo
2013 = The Year of Selena...
The lesser's should all super glue their wigs tbh

Columbia/Sony Animation’s funhouse pre-Halloween toon Hotel Transylvania (3,349 theaters) got off to a monster start Friday and then soared _72% Saturday for $39-42M by end of Sunday. That weekend cume beat the record for the all-time September opening (shattering Sweet Home Alabama‘s decade-ago $35.6M though not adjusted for inflation or higher ticket prices or 3D’s premium). It’s also the highest grossing debut for Sony Pictures Animation. And it’s 2012′s biggest opening since The Dark Knight Rises. Pic also worked for audiences who gave it an ‘A-’ CinemaScore (‘A’ from females and kids under 18) to guarantee good word of mouth through the month.
In a sizeable victory for Sony, 3D toon Hotel Transylvania debuted to $43 million -- the biggest opening since The Dark Knight Rises and the top September bow ever. It's also the best performance to date for the studio's animation unit.
Hotel Transylvania also scored the biggest September single day in history with $19 million, beating Sweet Home Alabama ($14.7 million).
