Most older women look up to people like Alicia Keys more than Beyonce. Beyonce is seen as highly overrated by the black community. Um, because it was dance-pop and it was mostly white people stanning for the song. Rih's only hit on Urban recently was Birthday Cake, while even the non-single tracks from 4 are doing well on Urban.

What I want to know is, what do any of you know about Beyonce, personally? If she's so open, what do you know about her? What are her struggles? What has she had to overcome? She's never been open about who she was. That's why Rihanna has more respect. You can get to know every other pop singer on a personal level (Britney, Lady GaGa, Christina, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Madonna, Michael Jackson, etc.) because you know where they came from. You know nothing of Beyonce.
