I think Gaga has a right to belong there. I mean, think about it, the GP DOES acknowledge Gaga. Every time you see someone now-a-days in a weird/avant-garde outfit Stefani Germanotta comes to mind. EVERY TIME. SO many up and coming artists with an outlandish image have been automatically compared to Gaga. That is impact to me.
Her songs have sold VERY well. She has sold over 40 million singles in the US alone and about 20 million albums WW (that is a very respectable # considering the declining rate of album sales year after year).
She has the highest grossing tour by a debut artist and has become a HUGE touring force in record time. She has 5 Grammy's, over 10 VMA's, 5 World Music Awards, 3 Brit Awards, and countless others. All 3 of her record have received generally positive reviews and her tour is receiving amazing receptions as we speak. She is further expanding her brand also by releasing a new perfume soon as well.
Gaga also has the media at the palm of her hand right now with all this fur controversy going on and she CAN still manage to capture the interest of the GP (See: Judas, a controversial video that, regardless of the songs chart performance, got people talking about Gaga).
Again, I think she EARNED her spot in the so-called Trinity that no one outside of ATRL knows about.
