The Lady GaGa phenomenon came as quickly as it went, she's peaked already and we're trying to place her in a trinity?

Even after her peak, she is one of the most successful artists in the world. Can you stop with this? The Fame/Fame Monster is one of the most successful eras of all time. It would be very hard if not impossible to keep up that level of success.

Name one artist currently more successful than Gaga besides Adele.
Oh, wait.

What does Britney Spears add to the Trinity?
Britney had one of the biggest debuts of our generation. She is, in my opinion, the template of what a popstar should look and sound like; she's beautiful, she sang/danced and also, she has a 'cute' personality. Britney attracted the teenage audience; girls wanted to be her, boys wanted to be with her (much like 1D and Bieber are now) but also caught the eye of the entire world. No one, not even Madonna (although Britney is the royal spawn), will ever do what Britney did. A mention of her outstanding record sales should be added, too.
What does Beyoncé Knowles add to the Trinity?
Beyoncé is the full package. She can do everything that Britney can do (some may argue she can do better) but she has never had the typical 'popstar' look. Do I need to go into details about her singing and dancing? Much like Britney spawned from Madonna, Beyoncé has earned the right to be within the same sentence as the legendary Michael Jackson. Also, Bey is African-American, so she also brings some culture into this trio. A side mention of Destiny's Child should be added, too: one of the most-successful female groups of all time.
What does Lady Gaga add to the Trinity?
Stefani represents the digital age of this trio. Current artists are now adjusting to the new music industry, but Gaga practically debuted at the very beginning of it. With two smash hit number one singles, she managed to do what no other artist after Christina Aguilera was able to do. Gaga also has the fashion side of her, and unlike the two above artists, she breaks - no, smashes - boundaries and goes above and beyond - the music videos are a clear representation of this, as well. Gaga can hold her own in the performance department, but she's not Beyoncé.

There's plenty more that can be said for each of the above artists, but together they form an unstoppable force.

Rihanna and Katy Perry both slayed her last era with stale old albums.

This whole 'Trinity' idea is ridiculous anyway.

This is very true - she was a big deal for 1.5 albums but will fade soon enough and likely be remembered as a Cyndi Lauper-type figure (not an insult btw, but she clearly won't be an all-time icon).

I'm going to say yes but actually none of them are in the same league. They all have had different careers and the reason why Britney and Beyonce are there is because they proved some longevity. Gaga on the hand is the most successful popstar since Britney but she hasn't been here long enough as the other two. So I'm not sure if she deserves it more than Rihanna who has remained consistent through the years despite not having an era as successful as TF-TFM.

No. Gaga was always independent.

Not likely. She already has more hits than Cindy, more sales, more awards, and more records.
People like you, that claim it's obvious that she "won't last", make me laugh.

However, Gaga is the only one out of the current crop of stars who makes sense alongside Beyonce and Britney in terms of international cultural impact/popularity/success etc. So if I had to pick, it'd be her.

Yeah, she's part of the Trinity. She best represents (alongside Brit and Bey) the best that modern contemporary pop currently has to offer- great singles, great touring force, massive fanbase, great album sales, great critical acclaim.

Exactly, how is this even a question?

I don't know, I think she's between Rih/Katy and Bey/Brit. But when Gaga's been in the market for 10 years like them, I think she'll have done more than they did.
