I disagree. Beyonce clearly has starpower, obviously. Kim Kardashian has starpower. She doesn't, however, possess the star quality. It's simple. Rihanna is 20-30x bigger than her in that field and that's beyond the charts - which I didn't even mention. Beyonce has her accolades, acclaim, rich husband but she'll never be as desired, especially in comparison for whatever reason.

Back in 1999/early 2000s the recesion wasn't as bad as it is now, so obviously ticket prices were considerably low. In those times an "expensive" ticket was $100 dollars. In order for you to gross massively you need attendance + high prices. Since ticket prices weren't high On those days, no matter if you were Britney freaking Spears, your tour couldn't gross 250M+ (unless she did zillions of dates).

She's really the whole package but something is missing.

It's that we don't really know who Beyonce is as a person.

She keeps her true self guarded from the public and her fans (understandably she's very strict about her privacy) -- whereas Gaga has opened her life and her soul to her fans so they view her as a close friend.

To be clear, Beyonce is an absolutely amazing entertainer and one of the best there's ever been. But entertaining has always seemed like mainly a job for her. Her performances are more about technical execution than creating a heartfelt connection. I could feel the disconnect when I saw her live show, even at the intimate Roseland Ballroom. For justifiable reasons, she has decided to put an invisible wall between her and the world.

I think Beyonce's lifestyle is much more desired. You just picture her swimming in money. On yachts and on jets, living a life of luxury. Everybody wants that.

She did have the demand, but she never toured in stadiums.

Rock bands ALWAYS will have a bigger tour gross than everyone, including Madonna.
