She had already sold the majority of her album sales by then.

The reason 4 sold so much was her name and coming from I am...Sasha Fierce. No promo didn't do anything, because the Promo would have had a positive affect on the songs. If anything they put people off the album.

It's pretty easy. TTT was treated like a re-release or extension of Loud in every respect. People pretend like Loud was from another era, commercially speaking - it isn't.

She has sold 2.6 million in the last year & a half, a typical "era", that's pretty fantastic. The bottom line is all that matters. Even alone, platinum off two hits in less than a year is very healthy.

mm Maybe because her label and herself are confindent enough of the #1 debut based on the big impact and popularity and reception of her singles?

The thing is when they release her albums the expections are never exceeded , actually her first week sales are always below the expectantions.... and I think is because the fact she releases an album every year, there's not enough time to hype it properly.

but of course they want a #1 debut, and I'm sure she would be happy ... and the competition is not an excuse to be honest... Lots of divas release their albums on busy weeks and they get the #1.

LOL gurl... "TTT" is Rihanna's 6th album .. is not any sh*t extension of "Loud".

But I can agree on something with you . . maybe people is confused and made a mess and they get to the point of not knowing which is Rihanna current album anymore...
