You are being much too pessimistic and cynical about the new record, along with some other people here. Chill.
Once her new single is out and starting to get a little radio airplay, people are going to be interested just for the fact that it's Ke$ha, regardless if it's going to be released in July or in October. More than enough people are going to remember her and be curious enough to give her the momentum she needs to get back into regular airplay and back to the top of the charts. (Top 10 at least I think.)
Don't be so negative, it really hasn't been that long since Cannibal. We're going to get the album this year for sure.

ughhh.. I don't think she is having label problems... All this is just rumours and speculaton that needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Let's not freak ourselves out with these negative thoughts

Exactly this. RCA and her are trying to play it safe. At this rate, she's recorded enough songs to have a full album. According to my source (please TRY to believe me on this one, I wouldn't lie about it), she was giving RCA too many non-radio friendly rock songs/ballads, and most of them got rejected. I think t least 3 of her wayne songs got rejected.
Thats why she's in the studio with Luke right now. They need to make a "safe" album. Think of it like Ke$ha's "Teenage Dream" (although I doubt she'll have as big of an era as that). They want the album full of guaranteed #1's, so they don't have to do much promo, etc.
So if you're going to blame anyone, PLEASE don't blame her. She's trying to make the perfect record for us animals, but RCA is just the worst at restricting (Look at Britney)
|
Once Ke$ha is done with this era, she needs to quit RCA...
They will kill her career in the long run with their restricting. When her third album comes along, she will still want to make something new and kind of experimental, and their opinion on the matter still won't have changed. They are going to force her to be something she doesn't want to be.
She has to leave RCA after this album, for good.

idk... I don't want her to quit rca and then not get someone better... RCA isn't all bad.. the song restriction is just a rumour

well, she can't just up and quit RCA, anyway. she signed a contract and I'm willing to bet it's for more than 2 LPs and 1 EP.

Right. I've never known of an artist that has left a record deal unless they've been there for 7-10 years.

Last time Ke$ha left her management, they sued her and threatened to take all her money.. I think she's learned from that and doesn't plan on leaving anytime soon.
Also, Dr Luke can only work with Sony artists. And she might not ever get signed again if she drops her record deal now.

But yeah y'all are right who said that, I'm sure she is signed to RCA for 10 years or so.
Still quite a few years left to go then.

But it is Kesha's choice to continue recording music instead of a new single release.

This isn't from a photoshoot actually, it's from a special appearance + speech and interview that Ke$ha attended for Casio Baby G watches in LA.
That was sometime late 2011 if I remember correctly.
