And for those of you wondering, I live in Canada, and UHC is great. Living in the both the USA and Canada some time in my life, I will say that taxes are much higher in Canada, but it's good to know everyone has the right to health care. The wait times aren't even that long to be honest....

It's not just Republicans. Either side can't come up with an agreement and aren't exactly willing to budge. And the funds for universal healthcare has to come from somewhere. The money isn't going to magically appear.
