Discussion: Having a Really Common Name

I'm sure we've had similar experiences.

Every class I've had has had no less then 4 Michaels. It's always a competition for me to be the main Michael. This bitch in 8th grade did that first letter of the last name **** for me.

I despised the main Michael in there. Other then that i was always the Michael.

Except this other bitch who called me Mike. Who uses that tacky ****?

Lastly, were you ever upset by your parents lack of originality/the uninspired name you have?

I've don't turn or respond when I hear my name at all.

In school, I was the only Michael until 7th grade. Then some guy from Michigan moved to my school. He left in 10th grade though, so I was back to being the only Michael.

In college, almost every class I've been in has had another Michael. In fact, last semester there were three of us in a row in alphabetical order in one of my classes

I refuse to go by Mike or any such nonsense. I did let a few of my girlfriends call me Mikeyy in high school, though.

I really don't understand why my mom chose Michael. It's so common, while my sisters' names are less common.

I've been always the only Dean in my whole school until this year.

But I'm usually mistaken for this ugly fat white guy in my class. One time I was mistaken for this ugly black guy from another class.

There's quite a few Michaels on ATRL.

I only know one other Michael at my college so it's ok.

I've always been the only Shawn, until I joined ATRL. The other knows I'm talking about his lessor ass. But in real life I have always been the only Shawn well except in 2nd grade but he was irrelevant.

Because i'm pretty popular at my high school, I know a lot of Ryan's. But that's my middle name. My first name is Kenneth, but there's an Asian band geek who has that name, but goes by Kenny on Facebook.

One time last year in my US History class, we had like 6 Ryan's

so it was hilarious: me, Ryan G., Ryan H., another Ryan S., lol it was funny.

I'm really social though, and most people call me RSully, or King Ry Ry, or RySully, things that go with my name. I was called Posh at one point!

I used to be the only Anthony in my class until 7th grade some tacky bitch Anforny tried to steal my identity. Teachers would tell him that his name was so unique and innovative to spare him from finding out he was just a Teen Mom casualty, a mess.

He moved out in 11th grade, but by then everyone had already started calling me Tony.

He ruined my life.
