I suppose Patrick is a fairly common name, but I've never really had to compete with other Patricks. In college, very few of the teachers bother to recognize you by name, unless it's a small class. And when I was younger/in high school, I was referred to as Patty a lot of the time.

I always have at least one class with multiple Ryans. And we always do the Ryan + first initial of last name. I hate it. Especially when the teacher says "Ryan" and we all respond
