So after hearing SWV and Ashanti's new single, which i love, it seems REAL r&b music is making a comeback. Which genre do you think will be big in 2012?

Speaking realistically, R&B probably won't be making a comeback, unfortunately. At least not anytime soon. Adele is pretty much as close as its gotten.

Somehow I get the feeling we're going to head more into the House/Electro-Hop realm (e.g. Dev, LMFAO, and all those other hipster-type artists). Yeah, the majority of mainstream music that will dominate will probably be pretty lame, brainless, and repetitive for at least another 3-4 years.

The industry is so fickle, I'm curious to see what will come next after this whole Dance music trend winds down.

It's kind of sad that only one genre is allowed to dominate for an x amount of time.

Dance/Electro-Pop, maybe some of these songs with House influences.

I see this trend lasting for about 3 or 4 years more, since we're *only* in the third consecutive year of dance music dominance.
