This has me thinking Batman dies at the end. I hope not I want this franchise to go on and on

You better prepare yourself. The Dark Knight was heavily overrated thanks to Heath Ledger's death.

But The Dark Knight was perfect.

The Joker was the only good thing about that movie. Batman/Bruce was such an empty character in it.

Considering he already figuratively slaughtered Batman in the last movie (FINE! I'm not mad. Overall, Nolan's a good director), don't be surprised if literally kills him in this one.

The Batman franchise will. Not the Christopher Nolan iteration of it, though.

Heath's performance as the Joker may have been one of the big draws for the movie, but the analysis of Batman's role in Gotham is the best part of the movie, really.

Personally, I believe that the best part of the movie is Aaron Eckhart as Two-Face/Harvey Dent. It's amazing how he's able to juggle these characters and give them both distinctive and fleshed out personalities. The trailers and TV ads may have played up Joker's involvement more, and it's certainly true that the analyizing of Batman's role in Gotham is important, but, to me, TDK was really about Harvey Dent's battle within himself (that he ultimately fails to win) and Batman/Bruce Wayne's interactions with Two-Face/Harvey.

Needless to say, this is my most anticipated film of 2012. I hope it will live up to my expectations, though I will understand if it can't.
