Lady Gaga was the only artist I jumped the ship with. After the Fame Monster that was it, her BTW music. Even my mom didn't like it, and she liked her during the Fame era. I was pretty close to jumping the ship with Britney during the Circus era because I started liking Gaga so much I was going to stan. But that wont be happening anytime soon since Britney puts out the music I like.
I used think she was cute when Just Dance first came out & wasnt even charting. Then stopped caring for her when she blew up in 09/10. Now I like her again. She's okay.
Question for those who have jumped ship: if Gaga ever again releases material you deem exceptional, will you hop back on?
Probably not. I think my perception of Gaga has changed so drastically this past year and a half that it would be nearly impossible for me to feel the way I previously did about her again.

No, because some of the things she sang, did and said will always be there...and I can't stan for someone whose past includes those things. Her intoxication with her own greatness has been a major turn off for me, especially in the way that it degraded the quality of her work.
I haven't jumped ship completely, but I'm just not into BTW like I thought I would be. I think she just needs to figure out what she really wants to say. She thinks she's this revolutionary pop genius but she isn't living up to it.
I think this is more me actually. I know deep down she has the potential but at the moment she's not expressing it in a way I deem bearable.
So Britney has had a very volatile career. She has been in this game for over a decade and still has a legion of fans, although arguably nowhere the equivalent to the beginning of her career when she was without any doubt, the Princess of Pop. Her recent years have been to many, controversial
Personally I jumped ship during the circus tour, when I personally thougth she wasn't putting any effort into her career. I will always love Britney, but I can't find a reason to stan for her anymore, when she's giving it her all
Call me when Katy Perry, Britney, Kesha, Christina, even Rihanna stay here.
