I complete agree with this.
When she started to brand her music as revolutionary and culturally baptizing, naturally I had to to judge them on a tougher scale and she just wasn't delivering.

Her music was never revolutionary.

I'm still a monster, but I'm kind of on the edge. I don't really feel a connection to anything related to Born This Way, whereas I connected- or at the very least, understood- everything Fame Monster. I think most of the BTW era has been sloppy, and it's harder to connect the dots than it was with TFM.... and it's pretty much all because of her "do-it-yourself" work ethic. The music videos have sacrificed entertainment value for the sake of being meaningful art pieces, while several previous videos were more entertainment-oriented with the message being secondary.
To make a long story short, I think Gaga is trying to do too much, and trying to say too much, at the same time... Lately I've been questioning whether or not making music is even her main priority at the moment.
I've pretty much lost interest in Gaga the person and Gaga the entertainer, but I still love her as a singer and listen to her music quite often...

I will not. She has talent.
But I liked her more and less at times... Less at Alejandro, BTW album cover (Deluxe fixed that) Judas flopping (while I love the song, I'm sad that she has let it flop) and some of those hideous Mugler outfits (but McQueen always fixed that).

Then why are you in this thread? It's clearly for people who no longer stan for her. Be gone.

once she released BTW (the single)....
I don't think I played the album more than twice tbh, I can't tell the difference between the songs
they all sound the same.

When I asked a friend, "Who sings that just dance on the radio," and she
said, "Some chick named Lady Gaga." After I heard her name, I jumped ship. True story.

It's funny, because I didn't particularly care for any of her previous eras.
During The Fame era, LoveGame gave me life and Paparazzi gave me a little tease. During The Fame Monster era, Bad Romance gave me all the life in the world. I didn't care much for the rest of the album, but Bad Romance slayed me so much that it didn't matter.
The Born This Way era has given me the most life out of all the eras. There are a few songs that I don't really care for, but this is her self-proclaimed experimental era so whatever. The album may not be coherent on the surface, but the theme of religion and being "born this way" is evident throughout. I find that when an album means more to my fav, it means more to me. The meaning of the lyrics is clearer, and, given that you're not a dense, pretentious music snob, you can find a common thread as the album progresses. The music videos this era have been inferior to her previous eras' videos, but I have faith in Marry The Night to correct that.

So the delusion was inherent? It's all making sense now.

I haven't jumped ship completely, but I'm just not into BTW like I thought I would be. I think she just needs to figure out what she really wants to say. She thinks she's this revolutionary pop genius but she isn't living up to it.

My favorite era as a whole has to be the Fame Monster. But my favorite album is definitely BTW. The era as a whole is a mess though

I've always been a little on the fence about everything she does. In a pop world where the likes of Britney have conditioned us to expect blandness and repetition, even things like the Paparazzi video / performances and the BR song / video were a turn off at first. But she always managed to redeem herself and make it eventually click.
This era, she did not manage that.

I agree, at least up to this point. Considering the BTW era is only halfway over I think I'll change my mind. Musically, the only thing I really enjoyed about TFM was Bad Romance, but the music videos and tour made it a really great era for her.
