With a success like that, Katy Perry should have had one of the biggest fanbases. But when it comes to album sales, fan-voting awards, she doesn't seem to have a big following/ support. Why?

Adele doesn't seem to have stans, but her singles AND album are smashing.

She never really had many stans in the OOTB era or at the beginning of the Teenage Dream era, she's is just started build her fanbase now. Why does it matter to you though?

This is all about personality.. people fall in love with a character or the personality of the artist when it comes to STAN....

I don't get why. By the end of 2009, Gaga had already got a quite dedicated fanbase, even though only 2 from 4 singles from The Fame hit No.1. And Taylor Swift built a HUGE fanbase very shortly after that Kanye incident. Not to mention Justin Bieber (Ch...). With Katy's success, she should have had a bigger fanbase.

You can't compare GaGa to Katy sis.

I think one of Katy's big problems is that most people online who like her all like some other artist (regardless of who it is) more... I would also say this is a major part of why Kesha has never won a fan-voted award.
