ATRL didn't always have official threads for artists, and IMO their inception has had a large impact across ATRL. We've seen an influx of members that would normally tend to post on more extreme artist specific forums (exhale, gagadaily etc), and the majority of them have joined ATRL solely to stan/troll for their favourite artist. This needs to be brought up, because something is obviously wrong when a large number of stans are complaining about the ongoings in the thread of their favourite artists. There's discord all around. What can be done? Are the threads really essential? And if so, how can they be improved?

You could put a single moderator (among the most smart and civil fans) in each artist's thread and this mod could ban the trolls or the annoying people from that thread.

I don't like them because I have to go through pages of stan talk to check if there is any news on the artist.

There's been countless Rihanna threads lately even with the official thread. I do agree that they're needed for general discussion, but most casual fans don't check for news in those threads. That's why we still get the pointless threads too.

@Mani if they're trolling the thread then they can be banned from it. Report them.

I was under the impression that people would post things relating to an artist containing: pictures, album + single news, tour info, etc under the artist album thread? Unless, that artist doesn't have an album thread.

Stans are trolling those threads. I don't even use the "Femme Fatale" thread anymore.

If it's available to people then someone is bound to "abuse" it. The ramblings are unnecessary as this past week has been out of control

• Sort out specifically the people who are "fueling the fire" and ban them from the thread

These threads are great if we use them right. It's one on the main reasons I joined.
