Girl has some issues... This is why she hates Avril Lavigne not the general public and adding Britney and Hilary to the mix was pointless like "What The Hell"
Can't help but laugh though
Well the thread question was "Why do people hate Avril" so that's why she wrote this whole thing lol.
Her label is trying too hard to make her just like another pop girl around, and it won't work. She must grow as an artist mantaining her style for meaningful and mature songs
I mostly agree with this comment
Goodbye Lullaby is a damn mess. The record label choosing and forcing her to record extremely cheesy pop songs, herself trying to be this outspoken person when she's pretty much reserved and shy.
The main problem for me was the second one, trying to fit in in the industry when she was known for being totally the opposite.
Avril months before WTH
She still recorded some amazing songs like Everybody Hurts, Not Enough, Darlin', etc in Goodbye Lullaby, gems.
i'm gonna need you to come harder than that Charlie. Where's the BOOk?
I enjoyed her first two albums, and still listen to her singles, but I feel like her "Pop/rock, hipster, anti-Britney and Christina" schtick got so old. When she tried to change it up, you ended up with **** like "Girlfriend" and "What The Hell," you know? The stuff she was "against"? Someone like Pink is doing the same thing, but I think it helps that Pink has grown up just a tad.
Well..actually, to me..only her last album is really a downer..but one can say she got worse with time..album after album (LG>>>UMS>>>TBDT>>>some galaxies>>>GL)..
So changing is a good thing..and that's not the point...it's about the music..it's just worse...that's what it is to me..
The Goodbye Lullaby album and era as a whole have become so boring.
The Best Damn Thing was a fantastic era for me. I loved every aspect. And Let Go & Under My Skin were major albums in music. She slayed from '02-'08 then her hype died out and she seemed to stop caring. I need that new album soon.
She's boring. There's nothing exciting about what she does musically. Her second album will always be her best, when she wasn't trying to be anything. She wasn't necessarily pushing the whole punk **** anymore, she hadn't become what she allegedly "hated" for so long yet. Just really natural. Don't think she'll ever be good like that again. "WYWH" is nice though.
I love her music but girls image is all over the place. Everywhere but mature. It doesn't fit with her music anymore. Bar 2 songs on GL it was all pretty mature, chill and acoustic.
It Was until she released "Hot" accompanied with the
I mean, her songs are great. Losing Grip, I'm With you, Why, Happy Ending, When you're Gone, Don't Tell Me were really great.
