Will Lady GaGa get another #1 from "Born This Way" era?
As a fan, I was sure Judas would have hit number one. When it was rushed released because of the leak, seeing the numbers it debuted at made me amazed how quickly people were on that song. But slowly, Judas gradually started falling.
Same with The Edge of Glory. It's debut was #3, and since then it hasn't peaked at that spot/higher.
Born This Way is the only #1 song from "Born This Way", but do you guys think she'll get another #1 out of Born This Way or no?
(And I'm not saying GaGa HAS to produce only #1 hits. Her songs chart amazingly anyway. It's still an accomplishment that all her singles she's released peaked at Top 5, minus Paparazzi [#5] and Judas [#10].
Well I don't think so. My only bet would be Marry The Night or You and I (if there's a RITD effect), but I don't really think so.
She already sold 1,5M albums in the US, it's almost impossible now to sell enough singles to hit #1. But, it's not a big deal. TFM had no #1 on Hot 100 and it still was the 2nd best selling album in the US behind Recovery.
Yes, of course. Depends on the choice + the video + the way she promotes it.
But I don't really expect a lot since this album is experimental + ain't radio friendly.

Katy says otherwise
but yeah...it'll be extremely hard to get a number 1
Well yeah, obviously. But some people on this site think it doesn't matter what single she releases anyway because there's no left over song that will hit #1.

Well it took a year for TD to have 1,5M copies sold. By the time Gaga releases a song that has a chance going #1, BTW (album) will already have sold way too much.
And Katy Perry is stronger single-wise than Lady Gaga, no doubt about it.
