Let's be honest: it has more to do with her video more than anything. If she releases an amazing video for her next single, chances are it will smash. The only reason TEOG didnt (and won't) get to #1 is because the majority of the people did not like the video.

I disagree. The video wasn't going to send TEoG to #1, whether it was good or not. The promo the week of the album release could have sent it to #1 but it did not. That was its best chances at going to #1.

It all depends on the music video and promotion. The music video for Bad Romance created a cultural shitstorm and propelled the single to huge sales. It would have likely been very successful without an epic video, but the video really made it even more so. While I don't think there's a mass appeal type song like Bad Romance left on the album, I think if done right Marry the Night or Scheiße or possibly You and I could be very successful (top 5), and maybe hit #1. Gaga needs to put on some epic performances. Less dancing, more crazy Gaga blood and guts and suggestive thrusting.

Whatever song is chosen as a single is irrelevant, I mean sure it has to be good, but it will still depend really heavily on the promotion. TEOG had so much potential, but all it had was a flop video.
