I mean sis, who else could give us young Whitney, Anita, Aretha, Patti, and Diana all in one? Then she threw some Prince, Stevie Wonder and young Michael Jackson in there and just went the **** off. Get into the ending where she acts a damn fool and goes totally off, ugh who else but the King?
"Love On Top" is amazing. It's insane to me how she incorporated so many of her favorite styles and artists into one song and still made it sound very cohesive and well put-together. Just goes to show what Beyonce is capable of.
I prefer "Start Over", though. Now THAT song slays me.
My dad's a flop and didn't appreciate when I was BUMPING "Love on Top" and "End of Time". His flop ass prefers Best Thing I Never Had. But yes, I can get with Love On Top. The notes being hit near the end gives me life.
The ending where her voice goes higher and higher always gives me life. No one is coming for her vocals on this album.
Oh girllllll, that's what caught my attention the first time I heard it. It's amazing how she goes higher and higher everytime. I even noticed she can singer higher notes than Whitney Houston could in her prime this time around. I think I Care is the other song where she goes higher than her usual range.
