Lyrically it's the most elementary, but good sis' and good sirs...The song is beyond epic.
From the throwback 90's R&B to Bey's growing vocals, the track reminiscent of an Anita Baker, Whitney, and Aretha hybrid just cannot be summed up with words. I'll even admit she took a risk by placing it as a track on a 12 track album, but let me tell you it paid off. It is by far one of the best, if not the best, on the album.

"Love On Top" is amazing. It's insane to me how she incorporated so many of her favorite styles and artists into one song and still made it sound very cohesive and well put-together. Just goes to show what Beyonce is capable of.
I prefer "Start Over", though. Now THAT song slays me.
