Britney's first weeks have been higher than Bey's every year they released together. Does Beyonce have a good chance to beat Britney's "weak" 280k this year? Looking at how their singles are performing, Britney; #1, #3, Beyonce; #29, #84, it's safe to say it will take a lot of effort from Bey to beat Femme's numbers. Will Bey promote everywhere like last time? Is it going to be enough for 280k+ with not a single hit? (no shade, fact).

It should honestly. She is releasing her album in a better time period in regards to sales. The first quarter (Jan-March) is usually the weakest in terms of sales periods. Beyonce is releasing her album right on the cusp of the second and third quarter which should yield better sales as they are generally higher as the year goes onward and end up peaking from October to December. I am thinking a 300-340 should be in the bag for her considering she likely has some major promotional set ups lined up for her release week. But she is also still lacking a hit single so that will adversely effect her sales wise. To be honest I think anything below 300k would be a disaster for Beyonce.

All this being said the fact that she doesn't have a single that is impacting with listeners is a major problem, combined with the poor performance of her three songs releases (29, 57, 84) it signals a low demand for Beyonce's music. I wouldn't be worried but after listening to the record it's clear she doesn't have many singles that will cater to pop radio which means a dismal sales total is in the books for her for the first time barring an Irreplaceable like hit coming out to save the era.

I voted no, but there's definitely a chance. I think she's gonna open with maybe 250k but have better longevity than FF did in the end.

I think she WOULD have if her singles were actually well received. I loved her singles but the public doesn't seem to think as much. Also some promo would be nice but I guess not.
