When Britney first emerged on the scene in 1998 she was the first female superstar of the "teen pop movement" Then, Xtina came out a year later to have her shine of fame as well.
However, IF Xtina was the one to beat Britney to the punch and come out first, would things be different?
but you guys gotta remember IF Xtina came out a year before Britney she would have already have 3 massive hits on radio and Britney would just have one (BOMT). So I don't think it would be that far fetched to say that some things would change. Maybe their first album eras would be different but I think Britney would still be bigger in the long run.
Everyone would be dead. The upset caused in the time space continuum had they been switched would be too much.

Xtina had talent and used that to become a star (although was not even close to matching Britney's)
And some use tactics and gimmicks to scam people into thinking they are real stars.
No. I think GIAB is a better song, but Britney had something about her that made her easily accessible and more interesting than Xtina. And the video/outfit is more iconic than the song itself (BOMT).
