The 1990s gave us legendary popstars like Britney Spears, Usher, and Beyoncé Knowles -- all of which who rose above their music peers and will be forever engraved in history with their accomplishments to music, entertainment, fashion and the world.
The Pop Class of the 1990s

Anyone can be a star and put out a hit.
Only a LEGEND can stamp their foot into pop-culture history. You know, transforming phrases and words to where you only think of that ONE artist.
Oops, I did it again y'all!....Or,
all the single ladies! / To the left, to the left.....
They call me U-S--HER - RA-Y-M-OND.
But with these legends growing older (Britney, 29. Beyoncé, 29. Usher, 32), what younger artist from the newer generation of musicians has the best chance to become the next legend in 20 years?
Your Choices For Future Pop Legends

Think about it though, don't just base your answer off who you stan for. Many artists today have pros and cons in their side. Here are criteria found in many legends that you should account for.
HEADLINES! The good, bad and ugly! Legends make major news headlines off of everything they do.
FALL FROM GRACE: Out of the limelight, legends (i.e Mariah, Britney, Ray Charles, Tina Turner) fall from grace and rebound better than ever.
RECEIPTS: Ultimately it's about the music. Legends don't just sell, they influence the music around them and inspire other artists to hop on their bandwagons.
NEXT LEVEL VISUAL: Legends change and adapt to the times. When mainstream music was urban...Britney, Bey, Usher and even P!nk gave us urban...can today's newer artists adapt over time?
POP CULTURE HISTORY: Dancing with a snake on the VMAs, or shaving off your hair. Dangling a baby off a balcony, or cougaring around baseball teams and DJs -- legends deliver the watercooler moments.
All of the artists you can choose from are relatively new which makes this fun in trying to choose who will be the next music legend! Who can adapt, rebound, and change the entertainment world around them?
DISCLAIMER:
Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake are successful, but their success pales in comparison to Britney, Usher and Bey -- thus, they are 90s artists that haven't reached legendary status (yet).
P!nk was tough to decide on...but will not be included in either the 90s legends or future legends.
Also, while the jury is still out on 2000s artists like Ciara, Avril Lavinge and Ne-Yo their overall body of work would not make the poll more competitive if they were added; in fact, it could dilute the results due to stan votes.
This poll is purely for legendary pop-ish artists. Eminem, Lil' Wayne and Jay-Z are also legendary artists but did not match the criteria. Drake, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, etc...did not meet the criteria.
Artists like Willow Smith, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are too young to qualify for the next generation of legends (unless the 00s-10s spawn no noticeable artist).
