Ok well I blame the record label to a certain point, like it's true what he's saying!
There wasn't enough promotion for the album!

But again we gotta look at the type of music he's presenting which is more pop appeal rather than his usual hip-hop/rap .. so the audience appeal is shifting and we have witnessed poor album sales for such artists like Taio Cruz, Jay Sean, Travie McCoy, etc ..

But considering that he does (should) have a bigger fan base than artists mentioned above, he could have scored 100K+ first week with proper promotion.

That's my opinion, now I think Liv Tonight should be sent to Pop Radios and 1000 Stacks to Urban Radios, and with some heavy promotion from the label. The album should sell more

Or maybe it has something to do with the fact that you were irrelevant for a good 3-4 years before this, and despite the fact that you managed to get one hit with Just a Dream the song itself is completely forgettable and I don't think most people are really thaaaaaaat into the song.

Where are these #1s he's talking about? I always find it funny how lost artists really have no clue how well or poorly their singles perform. Anything that goes top ten on any chart becomes a #1 when they speak about it.

He need to blame himslef to. he could have went to random clubs and made apperances at malls or schools to perform his new material to people.. Some artist are jus LAZY they expected their record label to do everything for them

Poor Nells, I don't enitrely blame label. JAD was huge I am sure masses where aware you had an album debuting soon, they just choose not to purchase it.

I know a good amount of people who had no idea the album was in stores...

Just A Dream charted at #1 on the mediabase top 40 airplay charts and peaked at #3 on the hot 100, so he really wasn't just inflating the position.

And I agree with his feelings, it usually comes down to the record label failing to promote the artist properly = leading to poor sales.
