Yeah there are normal gays. You usually won't know about them though, because they prefer the quiet life, instead of the messy hook-up influenced lifestyle.
I think normal in this sense means non-flamboyant, you know, someone who does not stand out from the masses of people. I would say that most gay men are like that, seriously.

THIS so much. I wish some of you online gheys would make more gay friends in real life. Trust me know so many gays who are nice, mean, funny weird, democrats, trump fans etc. Also gays tend to act differently depending on how they were brought up
They are. I honestly think I'm half way there. Get hit on by girls all the time, no one even assumes I'm gay (thank god my fave is rihanna, so it's ok)
Now the guy I'm kinda seeing is just hyper masculine. Deep voice, only listens to hard core rap etc. And when we are together I feel fem as ****! Like a beta little bitch.
But we stay looking like new friends that are hanging out and probably getting all the girls.

I am from third world country and gay is looked as sin, so I can't find any gay friend in real life and always befriend with straight guys
I have no problem with that, but deep inside I feel lonely to doesn't have any friend with same sexuality
However, if I try to look at Western media (and also this site), the gays are usually fall into 2 categories : "Masc" and "Fems"
Are there any gay guys who.... doesn't seems extreme, basically doesn't really exercise and narcissistic ? Are you like that or have met person like this ?

Honestly, most of gay I know are either quite "effeminate" or metrosexual (nothing wrong with both). Most of them love to visit gym so much too. But some of them are so "normal" you won't believe they are gay actually. Basically the gay community itself has many kinds of people in it. But perhaps you might not see the "normal" ones quite often as they mostly choose to lay low and don't use social media or go to party/gym that much
What he's trying to say is he basically wants a heterosexual archetype that also likes dick, but by classing this as normal, it's not wrong for him to want it per say, but it feeds into the idea that fem or camp guys are to be less desired or considered a less valid option or not 'normal', which is problematic thinking.
I thought he was trying to say that his country is openly homophobic so he can't be who he wants to be, and the only impression of gay people he gets is what he sees online. If I didn't live in a country that is accepting I mightn't have met as many people who are gay but whose sexuality you can't identify just by looking at them.
Normal is boring I don't socialise with normal people...the normal people look down on us weird people...I am sure its the same in the gay world too....
