Honestly no. I think a lot of gay men have mental issues (not their fault though).

I don't think I've ever had a conversation with a gay man (outside of my friends) that hasn't turned sexual and creepy.

Did you even read what the OP say? His society does not accept homosexuality so it's rare for him to meet gay people in real life, and based on western media gays mostly fall into either the masc gym rat type or the fem twink type, which is unfortunately true.

Re OP: There are definitely "normal" gay guys out there, but most of them are closeted even in liberal countries.

The concept of a 'gay lifestyle' is a propaganda thesis used by Christian extremists. Some gays are flamboyant and like to act like straight women would, but that's only a percentage of the LGBT community, which is being shown as representative of the whole group. The others are 'normal' as you would describe - ordinary people who just like people of the same sex.
