I don't necessarily see that as a bad thing. Obviously everyone likes certain things because they're good and worth the money so why not cave and just follow the crowd lol
No. I buy/devote my attention to things I actually love or at least like. The popularity of a product definitely makes that product in question more noticeable and thus I kind of have to give it some attention, at least initially, but if I don't like it *cough*iPhone 7*cough* it will receive dust and/or negative reactions from me from that point forward.
Yes. Everyone and their mothers were talking about how Lemonade was revolutionary and the best thing since Ray of Light so I bought it but after the opening track I regretted it.
To an extent, yes in the sense that popularity can pique my curiosity which can lead to me trying something; but, it doesn't go to the extreme of having to have something every one else does or risk feeling left out or inferior.
Android is just more customizable than iPhone/iPods/iPads so if you really don't care about it then the simple iOS UI is good for you.
Yeah I like customizeable but idk, whenever I used my old android, I was never satisfied. I was constantly changing it. I'm only changing it like once or twice a month on my iphone and that's just moving the icons.
Not really? I always do a lot of research before making any major purchase and I always look for whatever is right for me. If things are popular for a good reason then I'd obviously look into that, but it's never my main reason for buying something.
With phones for example, since you mentioned this in the op, I look for a big screen, a great camera and a stylus, which makes the note line the only option for me. It's certainly not the most popular, especially right now, but it's the only phone that can satisfy my needs. I do, however, have a macbook pro, which is the popular choice, but I bought it because I felt like it was the right choice for me (great screen, great battery life, very portable, OS X).
but then again, I do love iPhone too itself. It's a simple slick interface. Android is nice, but was complicated to me.
