I almost never bought anything the moment it came out, I'm always waiting for the price to drop.

Popularity brings my attention to stuff, but then if I found the product bad I'm not going to buy it.

To a certain extent yes. That's what the iPhone was to me when I first bought it. Before that I had a dumb metro pcs phone and an iPad.

The iPad also made me interested in the iPhone at all. I think the reason I bought it is because the company I was working for at the time strongly encouraged me to get an iPhone.

Also people have to consider how long something will be in existence if that item isn't popular enough....for technology especially.
