I can relate to Angel Haze and Brooke Candy more than I do with these other rappers, mostly because they are women in a male-dominated genre, have impowerment songs about LGBT community issues and women.
Like gangster rap...Future, Young Thug, OT Genasis, Plies, Kevin Gates, Ty dolla Sign, Lil wayne etc....
Idk as well sis Compositions of such an excellent and outstanding rapper OT Genasis like his deep and meaningful hit "Coco" make me rethink my life choices and bring me to a whole new level of spirituality.
Because this is a pop forum and most rappers are men. 80% of ATRL only like female artists and some male artists if they take their clothes off or make pop-leaning stuff like Drake.
This, but it's always a matter of preference after all. Rap isn't really the type of genre that I listen that often but I like some Tupac, Kanye, Chance The Rapper, etc.
Y'all bringing up Homophobia.... Every genre has it's share of that, what's your excuse for ignoring the homophobia in Pop?
Don't worry, I'll wait.
Of course it exists in other genres than rap, it's just quite more prevalent in rap. And who said it was ignored in pop music? The second someone in the pop genre says anything remotely homophobic, they will receive immediate backlash.
