To be honest black is more used to describe someone's race rather than their actual color. Like, black people can tan or medium skin toned, and same goes for white people

Its fine and to be expected when you're the minority in the situation. For example, you're the only female in the room, then its perfectly fine for the males to say to each other "the girl over there". If you visit Jamaica and you're the only white in the room, then they may say "the white guy over there". Absolutely nothing wrong with doing so.
As long as you don't mention their race as a way to provoke racist undertones, you're fine. In Brazil, race is a bit more nuanced than in the US, you know the whole "democracia racial" mess. In Brazil people can describe themselves as various different things racially while in the US people just stick with white/black/Asian/biracial.

Probably not. If you pronounce negro as you would in Spanish, you should have no problems because most likely they want understand Spanish and if they do, then they understand how the word negro is used. Just don't pronounce negro how it is in English, that's when people will look at you funny. Nega is a different story because the way it's pronounced in Korean actually does sound like the N word in English.
I'm not talking about the girls in the OP specifically, I'm asking in a more general way... For example a friend of mine asks about my boyfriend then I describe him like: "Oh sis he's handsome! He has dark (or black) skin, brown eyes, strong arms and thick lips"
