I love gaga like many people on here do, my question is if lg5 flops what do you reckon will happen? Will gaga go jazz for life? Will she have another meltdown? Will she retire to become an actress?

I don't really see that much of a future for GaGa as an artist anymore. At least she can fall back on her job as a tribute act?

I hope she won't repeat the whole meltdown stuff and not speaking to anyone for months (the situation after ARTPOP / DWUW- Venus).

If she likes the songs and the fans like them, it's great and that's important. For me it's not really important if the album is going to be a GP smash or not.
It's really hard to predict her reaction tho if the single or album is going to tank completely.
Like I said I hope she keeps her cool because her behaviour back then didn't help either

She and fans will be pissed, OGH will rejoice, but the world will carry on and she'll continue making music.

The "this is make it or break it" mentality is incredibly naive. That isn't how it works. She's too successful and self-reliant an act to just (unintentionally) fade into obscurity. Popstars disappear when they fall down the pecking order of a label and they don't get the best pickings of songs, spiralling out of relevance unless they luck out with a comeback song nobody else saw the potential in. However, Gaga can write her way out of a slump herself and has enough financial power to support herself if she so desired. Plus, I doubt they'll pull out all the stops with LG5 to ensure a commercial comeback. If that's really what she wanted, she could easily sell out and pander with LG6.

We know Gaga will tour the whole world and not just perform in 1 city for years.
We know that Gaga is the one singing on her albums, not some other person her team hired.
We know Gaga will actually put out quality music that was made with a group of other acclaimed and talented people.
We know Gaga actually cares about her career and will promote and do her very best, on stage and off.

If she were to "flop", at least she will flop with dignity.

She can consider acting as full time job, I'm sure she would have Ryan Murphy's support

She'll probably start to settle down, do a few side projects and continue working on another album.

She should be fine TBH.

She will be done with pop music and focus on jazz/blues/rock/tribute projects.

She will open a restaurant.
