And I know I'm not the only one who thinks this way and this isn't meant to be offensive or insensitive in any way:
But in a case like with Harambe, a gorilla species that's endangered (on the verge of extinction because of human captivity) why wouldn't we kill the small child instead? Who says a human's life is superior? There's more than 7 billion of us. We aren't endangered or scarce.
In just 7 months, the world human population has grown almost 50 million.
Soon the world will be too small for us.
Why the foolery?
screaming @ this..
i expected the Gorilla discourse would have ended by now..
Value is a judgment not an objective fact. The answer to whose life matters more is completely subjective and depends on who you're asking this question to. Most humans value their own lives more than animal lives. And I'm sure that, if animals had opinions, they would say that their own lives are more valuable than humans. If you think that your life is less important than an animal's then let us know, so that if you ever happened to get into the same situation as the child one day we wouldn't hesitate to shoot you instead of the animal.

Mess. It's unfortunate that the Gorilla had to die but human life, especially that of child's is always going to be more important than an animals.
Tbh I blame the Zoo. There should be no possible way for child to fall into a cage of a potentially dangerous animal. Had that been the case, Harambe would still be alive right now.

not that many humans are born in the west unlike poor countries where religion plays a big factor, they have AT LEAST 5 kids and are still growing fast
