Republican National Committee rules state that the committee 'is hereby authorized and empowered to fill any and all vacancies which may occur by reason of death, declination, or otherwise of the Republican candidate for President of the United States or the Republican candidate for Vice President of the United States.'

Trump is so unpredictable. He has so much pride that I can't see him dropping out but on the flip side if the polls are showing him far behind right before the election I can see him dropping out just to avoid official defeat.

Trump isn't a real Republican, so he's not going to drop out in order to save the Republican Party, because he has no real allegiance to the party. Why would he be concerned? He was previously a Democrat, his children are Democrats, and even his wife is probably a Democrat too.

I'm not sure how this myth got started but even thirty years ago he was a registered republican and publicly spoke of it. He donated money to politicians that are democrats just to curry favor.
