So, soldiers who are claiming to have fulfilled commands of a training exercise (known as a coup attempt by everyone else) won't be held accountable by judges who were in charge at the time, but by new ones? People were urged to take to the streets in name of democracy and twelve hours later the country is reforming. This seems so odd 🤔

Most Sunni's, including Erdogan, can't stand Alevi's though because we don't represent the "regular" islam. They don't want us to be associated with the islam.

I'm proud to be an Alevi but unfortunately we are the minority in Turkey. Only 10 million Alevi's live in Turkey, the rest (40 to 60 million) are sunni or other.

Alevis are great. Along with the educated persians they're some of the best people I've interacted with from the region.

Sunnism is the worst imo and has the majority trope that always tries to impose itself on the minorities.

Thanks, I thought so. You can see it in Egypt as well. They are struggling so hard ever since their regime has been overthrown, just like so many other countries. Truly a shame, but as one can see in this thread, there are people, even here, refusing to see the straight up facts.

Because I don't want it to do ANYTHING with my life and yet it still does. Absolutely, but take it one step further. If they were shot, their families would grow up with hatred and would wish to avenge their lost family members -> more hate and more violence in the future.

As awful and truly barbaric their act was, violence will never result in peace (this also goes for their act, because they believe they are doing something good by killing off another human being)

Violence is so ingrained in some society. It's incredible to see how there's 50/100 civilians lynching soldiers on the damn streets. This kind of behavior just doesn't happen everywhere on the globe. I wonder what cause this.

There's no way out of this for Turkey, Erdogan's power has been expanding for a while and this will allow him to fully implement the dictatorship he wanted. If Turkey turns full islamic, they could ally with ISIS (which is kinda already the case as they buy oil from ISIS) and then the game starts : Sunnis vs Shias and Non Islamic World.

Exciting times ahead.
