I am speaking to Turkish people now and they claim this is a good thing and they trust their army more than the politicians. They also spoke about banks being taken over and are currently discussing going to the streets

apparently some civilians are cheering the military tanks in Istanbul which is good since istanbul is the most secular/western part of turkey. liberalism always wins
