We will never know the killer's real motivations with any degree of certainty. What we do know is that 49 LGBT people and allies lost their lives because a mentally deranged man was able to easily get his hands on guns. Remembering the innocent lives lost and keeping guns out of the hands of mentally troubled people should be our primary focus after this tragic event.
