They are obviously trying to prevent an advancement in favor of the gay community. It would only add to the uproar in minorities, because if we all band together, we can overtake them.
Im still not understanding why it matters and why it plays a part? If he's gay he's gay. If he's straight he's straight. If he's dl he's dl.
It makes a big difference politically. The right were saying it was an ISIS attack and we need to put more effort into stopping them and that Obama is not doing enough. If it was just a gay man angry then it doesn't help their cause. And the attention turns back to gay rights and access to guns, and it can't be used by Trump.
