Lawmakers voted 53-47 for a Republican-proposed background check plan and 44-56 for the Democratic-proposed one.
Another motion requiring background checks at gun shows failed too, with a 44-56 vote.
A measure proposed by Senator Dianne Feinstein which would allow the attorney general to deny firearms to suspected terrorists also failed (47-53)
America is such a frightening place. They want things like rights, abortion, marriage,etc to be regulated and/or banned but are OK with letting suspected terrorists buy guns and not in favour of implementing simple background checks.
we will never get gun control with these people in our senate.
