Music biz veteran Wayne Hector, who wrote a bunch of hits for 1D, including “Steal My Girl,” “Best Song Ever,” and “History,” recently confirmed that he and Niall are collaborating again.
"We are writing together but he wants to do it for himself and not other people at the moment,” Hector told The Daily Star, as reported by Capital FM. “We have no idea where we’ll end up.”
OK, so that’s not exactly specific nor promising information, but a quick peruse through ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) reveals Niall has registered a new track called “Don’t Give Up On Our Love,” which he co-wrote with frequent 1D and Ed Sheeran songwriter Jake Gosling. There’s no performer listed, so it’s unclear if the song is part of his own solo plans or not, but it’s still exciting to see he’s been writing. The era of solo Niall Horan may really be upon us.
