The customers probably whined about something stupid, tried to get something for free, etc. and he got mad bc he's the manager and he's stressed and there's a line of customers. That's usually how it works. Customers are dumb and think they know their way around the place. Always.
Should he have even entertained their ********? No. But I've called customers out for being fat or having bad skin because they got mouthy, so I don't blame him.
I've done multiple years of high volume retail management and seen some **** but if he really is going to react this way no matter what happened he shouldn't be in the line of work he is doing.
