Sorry if the title is phrased weirdly but in the media, it's always homosexuality sometimes being condemned and you get silly comments like "the gay agenda is being pushed" and stuff but no-one really such things about lesbians.

Some parents wouldn't mind having a lesbian daughter but not a gay son. It's pretty much the same except a woman is attracted to another woman so why the differences?

Is it because of hyper-masculinity and men are shown to be more stronger or something? I've never understood condemning one side and giving pass to the other when they're both pretty much the same.

It's more like lipstick lesbians have it easier because they technically look and act like a straight girl (and most of them are honestly bi since they've been with both men and women), whereas for Gay men we're obviously different from straight guys in terms of looks, personality etc.
But butch lesbians have it almost as hard as gay men imo.

I don't think that's true, especially since most 'real life' lesbians aren't what straight men fantasize about.

I think it's stereotypes + people thinking homosexuality makes a guy them less of a man. Masculinity is a lot more fragile than femininity, that's why people (guys mostly) get offended by feminine boys more than they do by masculine girls.

Do they? I think it's about the same.
