Leftover goodwill from the (Bill) Clinton era. And yes, I'm aware of the 3 strikes/prison reform he pushed through, but I don't think most people are. Obviously most people here are too young to remember exactly what his persona was like, but I know lots of older people loved the Clinton era and are hoping for a repeat. Bernie is nobody to most people over the age of 30.
