Rita Ora may lose 100 songs because of Roc Nation lawsuit
Quote:
The X Factor star may have to ditch as many as 100 unreleased songs due to lawsuits.
It comes after her label Roc Nation counter sued her for trying to break her contract. I’m told: “Rita is always recording and made almost 100 tracks over the past three years that may never come out.”
Now songs written with Jess Glynne, Charli XCX and Dianne Warren may never get a release.
But one way of getting chart exposure is more tracks like her Sigma collab. Plus, Reets still has adidas and modelling contracts to keep her afloat.
And in March Simon Cowell, 54, will call her to see if she wants to return to The X Factor. Might not be a bad move at this rate.
She worked also with Disclosure, Major Lazer, London Grammar, DJ Mustard, Isabella Summers from Florence + The Machine, Prince, Dev Hynes, Dr. Luke, Ed Sheeran...
so jay z sued her cause she didn't release an album but why hasn't she?!
Because when Roc Nation signed with Universal in 2013 she was stuck at Sony Music, so they really couldn't release an album, now Sony is making Roc Nation sue her because she hasn't released all the albums that she was signed for.
Poor girl. I've been rooting so hard for her since 2012 but this is too much. It's been worse than the ANTi wait. The US didn't even get her debut album
