It is like they barely ever put out any music and when they do it almost always flops, but somehow they are still all over entertainment news and on tv
Honestly both of them could have had successful UK careers if they had really just done what Cheryl did and pump out albums over there until they are firmly established. Their long breaks where they were trying to break into the US market were what killed their long term careers.
I mean say what you will about Cheryl. She certainly isn't crafting masterpiece albums and her 2nd/3rd singles never really land, but she can always consistently smash with her first single. And a lot of that is for her having a constant presence in the industry after going solo.
