In the winter, how cold does it get where you live?

I live in Minnesota, we have one of the most extreme temp differences for winter and summer, I think. It gets really hot in the summer (not REALLY hot but there's 20,000 lakes here so it gets VERY humid so it seems hotter than it is) and ****ing freezing during the winter. Last week it got to like -20 with wind chills around -40. Truly awful. That's usually as cold as it gets, though.

I was in Geography today and my professor said in some Southern states they can't have recess outside if it gets like below 40 or something like are you for real?

I live in South Florida, the only place in the continental US with a tropical climate.

So what, it like never gets below 50?

I don't think I would like that tbh. I hate the heat.

Coldest we have had this year is around -10

The coldest Houston has gotten was like 15 degrees so it can get pretty cold here tbh

Here in Florida, the coldest is usually in the 40s. There has been days where it's in the upper 20s/lower 30s though.

probably, it was 58-60 this week and everyone was freezing and wearing jackets. I love the hot weather, i grew up in the Northeast and always dreaded fall/winter

The lowest I've seen was -2°F, but on average, maybe 20s-30s. We'd be lucky to even hit the 40s during this time of year.

-30s. I've seen wind chills as cold as -55.

I believe temperatures have dropped to -3°C (26.6°F) in some years, but last winter (June-September 2015) the lowest temperatures usually were 4-6°C (39.2-42.8°F).
