So when you are introduce to a new gay guy. Either by your friends or you just randomly meet him at some place. Does thoughts come to you that this person just wants to get with you? Even if this is not their intention.

Whenever I meet a new gay guy I assume that there is more of a friendship that he is looking for. That there is a motive to meet me in the first place. Even if this person is unattractive to me, I automatically assume that is their intention. Well because I am better looking I guess than this guy I am guessing or we are both attractive looking. But the same happens when I meet a better good looking guy than me and I can help to feel more than a friendship feeling towards this person. Like I want something more to happen even though he just want to know you for a friend. Does this happens to you?

I don't make assumptions and usually don't care if he's gay or not.

Well most of us grew up seeing that gays are only hypersexualized sex monsters so it's certainly not abnormal to assume that. We've gotta shake off a lot of the things we've been brought up to believe of ourselves

No. I usually automatically assume he's straight. Unless he's really obvious, in which case, he usually is pretty obviously not into me anyway so... I don't think I've ever gotten that "they're into me" vibe from another gay guy.

Ill make lots of assumptions naturally, but im meeting more gay guys now and developing friendships which is helping me be less defensive
