I only meet unattractive flaming attention-loving sassy ones usually. I still make friends with them because they're typically very sociable, but there's no deeper interest. The only gay guys I've met who are my type (balance of masc and fem/normal/down to earth), I've met from gay apps so it's not the same as stumbling upon them. If I met a really cute normal gay guy out of the blue I'd prolly fall in love, ngl.

I totally hear what you are saying OP. This happens to me too. Like when I first meet a gay guy I also tend to think if this is going to be about sex right away. It is weird but understandable. This probably also happens when a straight guy meets a girl only for a friendship. Yes I guess that can rarely happen. Hahaha... I am sure that sexual thoughts do flare up between both of the opposite sexes (or at least in one of them, if one is hotter than the other one) even if there is no attraction and chemistry. I am sure there is this doubt at first of why this platonic friendship. Same with gays. We get to know each other but we need to figure it out if we both agree that this is not about sex and more about friendship. But it is something that we don't talk about right away but we try to figure it out with time to see how this goes.
